This should be the official (or unofficial, as the case may be) Myspace for the Phoenix Intuitive Arts Meetup group, which is a pretty low-key, relatively-unknown spiritual and metaphysical discussion group. Not "spiritual" enough for some people, too "New Age" for others. Accordingly, whereas the intention for this page was and has been to let the community know a more down-to-earth group of psychic and card-readers (angel cards, tarot cards, whatever) and energy and light workers who simply get together over coffee and share ideas, support each other in our goals and visions...not many psychics and card-readers will attend the Meetup group or visit the myspace page, nor will that many interested party. Gee, are all the negative stereotypes about "psychics" really that bad? (Not surprisingly, some psychics and intuitives are actually agnostic or atheist and approach this stuff from a strictly secular perspective.) Because of the sporadic interest locally, the content of this Myspace page will reflect the organizer's personal preferences. In other words, once some more interest picks up locally, there will be a proportionate increase in the spiritual content more pertinent to "The Secret" and The Law of Attraction and psychic phenomenon. If you're on Meetup, look up this group: it's great way to meet others of like mind (and light mind, too) with none of the high-priced 'retail' intimidation and worry about having to take out a second mortgage to simply talk with someone. (I'm glad to talk with people for free and give readings for free, since I do the Meetup group for fun.) Thanks for visiting this myspace page. Enjoy.

CUT TO:
I am in the Phoenix Intuitive Arts Meetup group (http://tarot.meetup.com/320). The Meetup group was started so that anyone interested in the intuitive and healing arts, whether tarot or angel cards, Reiki or EFT, energy and light work, can learn more and meet others without feeling scammed.

Rather than focus what I don't want, I am affording active intention to that which I do want, which is stronger sense of community in the metaphysical "community." (Of course, if such a "community" actually existed, I'd move there. Ha ha ha ha.)
My interest originates with tarot cards, which most people don't realize is actually a CARD GAME like poker or bridge, and tarot is still played as a CARD GAME, today. I collect tarot cards, and my favorite tarot decks are the French Marseilles decks. Good luck finding a Marseilles deck in any local "New Age bookstore."
Tarocchino is a non-commercial site dedicated to teaching and promoting the card games usage of tarot. You can even download a *FREE* BOOK (pdf) with all the tarot card game rules. It's also available directly from the web site at: http://tarocchino.com
For the best historically-accurate tarot decks I highly recommend Tarot Bears Lair at http://www.tarobearslair.com . Because most of the decks are, in fact, for games, the cards don't "look" like what we in the U.S. would call a "normal" tarot deck - e.g., no spiritual pictures on the cards (nothing remotely "New Agey" about the pictures at all), and they are numbered at the top and the bottom of each card for easy scoring. Yes, anyone can play most of the tarot card games as long as the decks have 78 cards. However, not all game decks have 78 cards. So, the next time someone tries to insist, "The card aren't a game!", or that the cards originated in ancient Egypt or Atlantis or wherever, you can be better educated. Tarot Bears Lair does an excellent job snagging all the coolest decks.
I love spiritualism and "New Thought" studies, best exemplified by the spiritualism of the 1930's when people ranging from Harry Houdini and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to Emma Curtis Hopkins and Madame Helena Blavatsky developed the ideas and principles still studied today. People think "The Secret" and "What The Bleep" are popular in contemporary society? I would have loved to live in the 1930's when seances were as common as Myspace pages. Now, a lot of "psychic" and "New Age" stuff has gotten way too corporate and way too intimidating, not too mention way too overpriced.
It just feels like too many people in the "New Age" community are just way too [bleep] serious and aren't having any fun.
