Hello and welcome to the official myspace music page of Rebequita, the lead vocalist and composer for the band, Rebequita & Los Amores!! Here you can find out more about the entire band and all its members.Rebequita & Los Amores are an exciting, London-based band, fronted by bilingual singer-songwriter, Rebequita; who is a half-Venezuelan, half-Spanish, Londoner, who sings in both english and spanish. Rebequita & Los Amores fuse Latin Rythms, flamenco passions, blues, soul, rock and much more, to create a sound that is not only exciting, passionate and exotic, but which also rebels against what you would expect to find on London's live music scene at the moment. Rebequita & Los Amores is made-up of talented and professional musicians. - On percussion we have Hugo James and Colette Brown; with Lucas Poletto on electric guitar, Richard Stevens on classic guitar and Alan Elliot on saxaphone. Although some would argue that Rebequita is essentially a solo-artiste, and admitedly that is how she started her career, she readily admits that she would not be able to achieve what she does, without a loyal and commited band, thus the name Rebequita & Los Amores was born to give everyone recognition...~♥~♥~

Although Rebequita has performed as a solo-artiste at various venues around London prior to forming Rebequita & Los Amores, (such as the well-known and well respected Vortex Jazz Bar), Rebequita & Los Amores started gigging together at acoustic showcases around London earlier this year. Rebequita has already appeared live on both Aculco Radio and Aculco Television, (London's leading Latin Radio Station and Internet based Latin television) a coupld of times this year, all of which has generated excellent feedback from both the public and industry professionals. This has also led to a clear increase in public interest. Rebequita & Los Amores are currently making plans to record their latest songs professionally in the recording studio, so please stay tuned for those updates! - Please note, that those songs are rather different from what you can currently hear on here at the moment!~♥~♥~

The songs are mostly written by Rebequita at her piano, and it is these songs which Rebequita & Los Amores perform at their live gigs and plan to record professionally in the near future. However, these are not just typical romantic love songs as you would expect. Rebequita & Los Amores tell a poetic story through each song about subjects ranging from friendship, child labour, poverty and much more. Some songs are sad and ballady, whilst others are happy and upbeat!~♥~♥~

Hola y bienvenidos a la pagina oficial de musica en myspace de Rebequita, la cantante y compositora de Rebequita & Los Amores, donde pueden encontrar informacion sobre la banda y todos los miembros.Rebequita & Los Amores son un exitante conjunto de musicos de Londres. Su cantante es la bilingue y talentosa Rebequita, una joven Londinense latina que es mitad Venezolana y mitad española, que canta en ambos idiomas, y posee una dulce y poderosa voz. Rebequita & Los Amores únen los ritmos latinos con la pasión flamenca, blues, soul, rock y mucho mas, creando un sonido que no solo es exitante, apasionada y exotica, sino una rebeldía. - Producen un sonido que es muy distinto al que esperarían encontra hoy en dia en los locales de musica en vivo de Londres. Los músicos que forman parte de Rebequita & Los Amores son: Hugo James y Colette Brown en percusión, Lucas Poletto en guitarra electrica, Richard Stevens en guitarra clásica, y Alan Elliot en Saxafón. A pesar de que algunos podrian decir que Rebequita es una arista-solista, ella reconoce muy sinceramente, que sin una leal y comprometida banda, Rebequita no puede lograr lo que loga. Por ello surgió el nombre 'Rebequita & Los Amores', para que todos tengan reconocimiento...~♥~♥~

Aunque Rebequita ya tenga experiencia cantando en vivo en varios lugares prestigiosos como el Vortex Jazz Bar antes de formar Rebequita & Los Amores, Rebequita y Los Amores han comenzado a tocar en vivo en eventos acusticos por Londres desde los principios de este año; Rebequita ha salido en vivo en Radio Aculco y Aculco Televisión, lo cual ha generado mucho interes y comentarios excelentes del público y profesionales del mundo de la música. En estos momentos Rebequita & Los Amores estan haciendo planes para estar al estudio a grabar los temas más recientes, pero ojo, que no son como los temas que escuchan aqui en estos momentos...~♥~♥~

Las canciones la suele componer Rebequita en su Piano, y estas con las canciones que Rebequita & Los Amores tocan y planean grabar en el estudio pronto. Pero estas canciones no hablan solo de temas románticos. Rebequita & Los Amores presentan canciones que te cuentan de manera poetica, historias de varios tipos, con temas que hablan de amistad, la esclavitud infantil, pobreza, y mucho más. Hay temas que son tristes y estilo bloeros, mientras que hay temas alegres y bailábles!~♥~♥~
