the battle was raging all around and the troops began to be discouraged by the overwhelming enemy. the commander heard an explosion which thundered across the battlefield. this music which forced its way though the field encouraged the commader to shout"death before retreat" and led his troops to victory. [unknown to the troops the holy music was just the band gods of war playing across the road] gods of battle was formed by lead singer Dani Hell and lead guitarist Daz Hudson in early 2004. the demo death before retreat was first recorded in 2006 the music in gods of war centred around full on death metal mixed with metal and pieces of thrash.
