I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Hello my name is David Franklin ("Old David" when I write and comment in wrestling circles).I am a 60+ year old Production Control Manager working in a Book Printing Factory in Chippenham.I live in Bath with my second wife Michaela (Micky) who is quite a few years my junior. We have one son Alex who is 17 years old and taking his A levels at the moment.I have two grown up children Emma and James from a previous marriage. Emma lives with her partner Duncan in Marlow. James lives with his partner Wu Fei in Trowbridge. James and Wu Fei plan to marry later this year.At least twice a month I am Dungeon Master of two different groups of elderly gents who meet to play Dungeons & Dragons and who all flatly refuse to grow old gracefully!I have recently renewed my interest in professional wrestling and I am hoping that MySpace will help me to contact the friends that I now have in the business. It will also help me to keep up to date with wrestling shows, their dates and locations.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who are aware their own actions may affect others in a negative way. People willing to consider the possibility that there are other points of view besides their own that may have some merit. I do worry when I meet someone who knows "without a shadow of a doubt" that they are right! I enjoy talking about all aspects of the wrestling business. Especially to those working on the "inside" and anyone with memories (nearly) as long as mine. I enjoy discussing all aspects of one of the most misunderstood sporting art forms in Britain today. I have been a fan (on and off)for over 50 years now - I like to think that sometimes I may have something interesting to say! Professional Wrestling can be enjoyed (and often is) on so many different levels and I desperately want to see the older style of British wrestling kept alive, because it offers so much for the next generation to enjoy, and given the opportunity they do!

Wrestling Ramblings
