About Me
The title Sotm was inspired by the "who put sac on the map" Compilation. It all began in August 2005, twice a month. Somewhere on the map started majorly around VS performances for fun and for networking to get local talent heard around Sacramento for free. The first location was in Rancho Cordova at F&B bar, where shortly after SOTM relocated to "The Silk Bar" January 2006,(1011 Del Paso Blvd. Sacrametno, Ca), thanks to help from Brandon Reese.
In the beginning @ Silk it went weekly and had over 75 people the first night. SOTM took a short break from April to November 2006. Once residency was re-established SOTM had no trouble getting right back on track and has had out headliners from United Kingdom, Florida, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose, and many other local stars.
While also known for working with and booking Djs in the Rave, Hip Hop, and Gothic scene.... SOTM is mainly known for booking numerous first time DJs and teaming up some of Sacramento's strongest duos.SOTM is also credited for spawning a former weekly Blended, SOTM is honored to say it has been hosted by crews like Stilldream, Nocturnal Beats, Nocturnalism(sf), Strategik , Other Promotions, 180nup, Foreign Blend, and Enlightenment, Progreshiva, Future Now / Family Funktions, Pusch Productions, United Vibes, Snugg Ent.
S.O.T.M hopes to bring to Sacramento DJ's who are deserving of the limelight. This is an open genre club whose floors are open to all types of Electronic music, from Trance, Breaks, Electro, Techno, Hardcore, House, Drum and Bass, Jungle, Industrial, EBM ,Noize, Mcs, Live acts, etc.
