About Me

David Anders Holt was born on March 11th 1981 in Grants Pass, Oregon, to Dr. Tony and Jeri Holt. He is the youngest of four children, biological brother Arik, an adopted brother Jason, and an adopted sister Maili.
He began acting in school plays at a young age but spent most of high school playing sports such as basketball and tennis. When he was a senior in high school, at 17, he played Philip the Apostle in a regional theater production of Jesus Christ Superstar. When he was 18 Anders won the part of George in his high school's production of Our Town, following that, he went on to portray Freddy Eynsford-Hill in a production of My Fair Lady.
David was accepted into the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, California, but after graduating from high school decided to head to Los Angeles to pursue his career instead. Before getting his big brake he worked at The Gap and coached tennis to make ends meet.
In 2001 had a supporting role in the film 'The Source' and the Olsen twin's series 'So Little Time'. He had to take the stage name David Anders due to another actor using David Holt.
His big break also came in 2001 when he landed the role of Julian Sark in the hit series 'Alias', the job which awarded him with his SAG card. The role was original intended to be a guest role but after three episodes David was made a regular cast member which lasted until 2006.
In that time he made many guest appearances in hit shows such as 'CSI', 'Deadwood', 'Charmed' and 'Grey's Anatomy'.
In 2005 he took the lead role in Beautiful, an Off-Broadway rock musical. Beautiful was shown during the New York International Fringe Festival. In that same year he appeared in the film Circadian Rhythm. In 2006 he starred in the horror film Left in Darkness alongside actress Monica Keena.
In 2007 took on the role of ELI in the film of the same name, ELI. He went on to be cast in a regular role in the second season of NBC’s hit Heroes as Adam Monroe/Takezo Kensei, a character with the ability to regenerate. David once again took on a British accent for the role.
He is currently filming the lead role in 'The Affliction'. We will bring you news on this film as soon as we get it.
