That's no moon... it's a space station

About Me

What is it???? So I'm back by popular demand like a re-run of Fat Albert and this time I'm not fu%$&035;* around! It's a good thing that my beat mixes and scratching are off the chain because I sure can't figure out this myspace profile stuff and what to say about myself so I'll just ramble on and fix it later. So what really happened and where did I go? I got stupid, got married, moved to Phoenix, got smart, moved back, got divorced... damn I'm right back where the story began and only have half the shit I started the journey with. Strange how that works. I've got three bomb ass kids and met someone dumb enough to put up with me staying out until the club closes in the wee hours of the night and she doesn't care about my health conscious diet consisting of bull blasters and raspberry filled donuts from 7-11. Apparently my three kids aren't enough so I found someone with four more! Now you see the need for the Durango. Did you know there are laws about not transporting children in the trunk of your car? Figured that one out the hard way. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ .................................... For those getting to know me for the first time I'll fill you in with who I am, how I got started, and what you can expect in the future from me. I first starting spinning when I was 16 at Club OZ, a teen club that is now buried under the new Gonzaga University dorms. That's when by dumb luck I met DJ Steve Johannis and after being extremely persistent he decided to teach me the ways of the jedi knight, gave me my name, and the rest is history. I've DJ'd in various clubs like OZ, Club London, Euphoria, Marios, the Cherry Bomb, Outback Jacks, Peking North, the Blue Dolphin, Mother's Pub, Kamikaze, 98.1 KISC, Mix 103.1, and I've DJ'd over 300 corporate functions and wedding receptions as the owner of Rhythm City Entertainment.I was a member of the Northwest Dance Music Association and took pride in breaking new music and being an influential part of the music industry. I moved to Phoenix for a few years and I picked up a few things there that I want to share with as many as I can. Spokane has always been about ten years behind the rest of the world and I'm here to do my part to bring it out of the dark ages.DJing is not about standing on stage and pushing play on a cd player. The time has come and gone for those overpriced jukeboxes standing on stage claiming to be a DJ. DJing is about passion for music and dancing and that passion is expressed by beatmixing and scratching which is a true art form that not many possess but I'm here to show you. I'm on a mission to change the world through music and hopefully I can make a difference in all of your lives. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................So what's happening now and what can you look forward to? You know the phrase, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas"? Well, that just doesn't work for me. In continuance of my effort to change the world both as an innovator and visionary I've decided that Spokane needs a true nightlife experience and the only way to achieve that is to just stop wishing for someone else to do it and just open up a nightclub myself. I'm talking about a true nightclub that is the epitome of luxury that is also equipped to customize and transform just as I wish to transform the Spokane nightlife. I'm looking to capitalize on the needs of everyone from the business minded patron looking for a private place to relax and experience premium service to the VIP guest looking for plush seating, excellent cocktails and food, the sports junkie that just wants to drink his or her beer and yell at the big screens with the pay per view sporting events to the patriarch that just wants to sip on the exotic cocktails conjuered up by the exquisite mixologists tossing bottles behind the bar, to my favorite club junkie that just can't get enough of that chest pounding bass and high tech video and lighting surrounding the multi-level dance floor....................................................... ............................................................ ............................................................ ..........................................Now obviously a club of this caliber costs a lot of dinero to make happen. I've got a good investor to help handle the cash flow but I've got to come up with a big chunk of change myself so, I've just ordered up the DJ Prophesy logo T-shirts and hats and am about to release the new mix cd with a little twist from the traditional format. I've broke the cd down in to two styles- the first one being the booty shakin, gettin down on the dancefloor, gettin jiggy wit it dance hits and the other being the windows down, system bumpin, cruisin around town, pickin up the hotties jams. There's definately something for every one on this cd. I'm working on a paypal account and when it's up you can download the mix here for less with an mp3 format or purchase the stylin cd full of info, pics, and the new DJ Prophesy logo sticker for your car and I'll ship it to you. I've got another website under construction that you can click to if you want to order the T-shirts and hats. If I need to mail it to you then they'll be a shipping and handeling charge but I'd rather meet up with you anyway so just hit me up with an email and we'll figure it out. Soon you can purchase both at Northtown mall and I'll be around at all the big events like 4th of July, Hoopfest (I'm not sure about this year- we'll see), Pig Out in the Park, and I think that it's probably time for me to do a huge all city dance. The last one I did was back in like oh shit maybe '95 when I rented the fairgrounds and brought Master P up here. Anyone remember that show? All of the profits from these ventures will go towards the opening of the new club so everything you can do to help will also help to change the scene for everybody................................................... ............................................................ ............................................................ ....................................Besides the club and DJing I've got some other things in the future to truly involve all aspects of the Hip Hop community including a future recording studio, detail shop for your whips, car stereo competitions, etc. Stay tuned for more details on upcoming events and pay attention to the bulletins and help do your part to change the world for the better...................................................... ............................................................ ............................................................ ........................................ Right now you can find me mixing it up at Bottoms Up in the valley and the Top Hat in north Spokane. I'm also breaking out of the DJ booth and taking over the air waves now so if you're in Missoula then tune in to 107.5 fm and check me out in the mix on your radio or stream live from the station website- just follow the links. Rhythm City Entertainment is back in full swing so if you need a DJ for your wedding, company party, summer BBQ, or high school dance then hit me up. music layout powered by HOT FreeLayouts.com / MyHotComments
