About Me

NaTonia Monet Harrison (Dancer/ Entertainer), a native of Richmond, Virginia and a graduate of Florida State University, received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance the Fall of 2005. Dance has been an integral part of her life since the age of 4. However, being an overall entertainer has always been her dream. Her mother decided to put her in ballet, when she noticed that her daughter was always dancing; grocery stores, day care, at home, every canvas was her stage. Her dance training started at Richmond Dance Center, then after one year there, her teachers noticed her talent and suggested her mother move her to the Richmond Ballet where she would receive better training and technique. Nine years of recitals and Nutcracker’s later, NaTonia Monet left the Richmond Ballet to commit more to her high school’s Center for the Arts, introducing her to new and more contemporary dance genres. There, she played the alto saxophone, was a varsity cheerleader, participated in show choir, acted, and danced in various shows. The term “Triple Threat” might come to mind once someone experiences the overall creativity and dynamism of her personality. Through the arts NaTonia Monet expresses her character and liberated individuality. This all comes out through the many talents God has blessed her with; singing, acting, dancing, creating choreography, musicality, improvising, and having a keen sense of style. Before pursing her professional entertainment career, Miss Harrison decided to have something to “fall back on” when the stage lights would finally go dim, thus pursing her Master’s degree in Public Health. After her graduation this April of 2008, NaTonia Monét Harrison will continue to pursue the path God intended her to be on...the path that leads to the stage.
