Profile GeneratorSince moving to Montreal in 2001, straight out of high school, Patrick Sayers has performed with numerous bands including; One 976, Poxy (Xavier Caffeine), Paradise, The Sainte Catherines, Tricky Woo, Le Nombre, Young Galaxy, Winter Gloves, and Les Breastfeeders. Patrick Sayers has been a drummer since he could hold a drumstick. At the age of 5 he got his first snare drum and would play at his grand parents farmhouse when visiting on the weekends. At the age of 8 he began to jam and sit in for a few songs with his fathers country-rock band at jamborees. In grade 8 he formed a punk rock band called Maximum 70, which brought him to play a contest called exposure at club soda in Montreal. In 2001, at the age of 17 he moved to Montreal to pursue his life long dream. Studying the drum set at Vanier College he met his first serious band. Joining the band One-976 in 2001 he gained experience in the recording studio, photo shoots and video shoots as well as performing live. The band Played shows in major cities across Quebec and Ontario to respectable crowds. One-976 also appeared in a movie called Saved By The Belles and had their music video as a bonus feature on the DVD and sound track CD of the film In 2003 Patrick left to join Tricky Woo who were reuniting after a 2-year hiatus. With a hand full of respectable drummers to be auditioned Patrick was their first to try out. He was asked to join immediately after the audition. Tricky Woo went on hiatus again after 2 of hard work. Patrick toured Canada coast to coast twice and recorded his first full-length release with the band on Last Gang Records. Released on august 30th 2005 in Canada and February 14th 2006 in the U.S.A. 2005 also brought him the opportunity to open up for such rock legends as Alice Cooper, Deep Purple, April Wine, and Mountain. In Mai of 2006, Patrick was asked to join Le Nombre (blow the fuse Canada, Boxson France). Having been a fan of the high-energy rock band it was simple to say yes. Le Nombre has given him the opportunity to play overseas in France, Switzerland, and Belgium consisting of almost 50 shows in Europe within a year. In July of 2006, Patrick got an e-mail from Steven Ramsay asking him to join Young Galaxy (Arts&Crafts). The band did its first tour in early December 2006 opening for The Dears for 2 weeks across the U.S.A. starting in Seattle and finishing in Chicago. Young Galaxy's first album was released in April of 2007. Young Galaxy followed the release with a 6-week tour of the U.S.A. and Canada in April-Mai 2007. Patrick is now also doing session work with bands live and in the studio. In June 2007 He joined the Sainte Catherines (Fat Wreck) for a show at Woodstock en Bauce. In the summer of 2007 Patrick played his first of many shows to come with Montreal's Les breastfeeders.
They recently completed a 4 week tour of Canada and the U.S.A. opening for Nebula.
2008, is the beginning of what looks like a good year, in January Patrick recorded a full length album with Winter Gloves a new up and coming band from Montreal, (Paper Bag Records) produced by Jon Drew (Stars, Tokyo Police Club, DeeDee Ramone)
Just 2 weeks later after recording in Toronto with Winter Gloves he found himself in Paris, France with Le Nombre(Blow the Fuse/Boxson) recording their 3ed album, Patrick's first with them.
the beginning of a new year and already two album releases in the works, the future is unwritten and the possibilities endless. Patrick is determined to continue realizing his goals and dreams one by one.Click here to visit the Silverfox MySpace!
