Grave Defilement

About Me

Starting drums at age 3 and on diaper wipe boxes and pots/pans, Lamar (19) has been playing for some 16 years. In 2002 him and Jon established a two man electronic group named Gyo. After about a year they changed musical direction and added a third, Robert Straub, and revamped their name to The Realm. Five years and a couple of name changes later (The Realm, Demonspeak, Dark Awakening) Lamar and Jon formed what is now called Grave Defilement. An act of darkness in musical and literary composition.Jon (19) was originally a drummer, who at age 5, also started playing on pots/pans. He met up with Lamar in the 7th Grade Middle School Band, where they began composing their own music (Xylophone, Keyboard, Bells, Chimes, Quads, Etc) Then when they decided to form The Realm in 2003, Jon switched to guitar because he wanted to learn another instrument. And like Lamar said five years and two name changes later they formed Grave Defilement.Justin (20) started getting into music when he was 4 and picked up his first guitar when he was 7. He met Jon in Elementary School, and met Lamar shortly after, it wasn't till about a year ago that Justin started playing music with them, and now he is the third member of Grave Defilement.
