I'd like to meet:
Can they be dead? If so, Uhmm: Jesus (as in Christ, not the one from Dobie HS, I've already met him and he pronounces his name like this, Hay-Suess), Elvis Presley, my great-great grandparents...
Music:
It changes with my mood. I like ALL types of music so I can't even begin to start listing genres. I still love the act of buying vinyl and cds. I like the artwork and the lyrics that come with the music almost as much as the music itself. It is all one big experience. I mean, I have iTunes and all but am a fan of going to the record store for a couple of hours and just perusing. What is in rotation at the moment? Been listening to A LOT of Jeff Tweedy. I think I'm addicted to his voice. Ok, off of Wilco for a moment and onto the rest of the list: Alexi Murdoch, Sendre Lerche, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Camera Obscura, The Stills, Goldspot, Rogue Wave, Ryan Adams (Dude, I thought I'd be over him already but am still in-love with Whiskeytown from back in the day so I'm just hangin' on. He just writes good songs that i feel in my gut. Curses, Ryan Adams, CURSES!)Mazarin, Sound Team, both Elvis', Dolly Parton, Foo Fighters (Love me some Dave Grohl singing, on guitar, on drums, telling jokes... he good.), Wilco again, Robbie Saey, Amos Lee (He is one smoooooth man), Willie Nelson (always in the top five of my musical heart), John Prine, Racheal Yamagata, Q-Tip, The Frames, Biggy, The Clash, The Comas, Dinah Washington, Nada Surf, The Stone Roses, Johnny Cash, The Dears, Yo La Tango (sp), Ben Kweller, The Beatles, De la Soul, The Beastie Boys, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye... There are more but I am tired of typing.
Movies:
Bottle Rocket, Step Into Liquid, Walk the Line, Anchorman, Lost in Translation, Pretty in Pink, Old School, Elf, Sandlot, and Napolean Dynamite (hence my profile name)...
Television:
All My Children IS considered a television show in some circles. Sheesh! The Office is hyterical. Uhhhh, I get sucked into Grey's Anatomy (DANG!). I still love and need to purchase all of the Arrested Development series. Also, I enjoy Ellen. That lady CRACKS ME UP!
Books:
Blue Like Jazz and Searching for God Knows What, both written by Donald Miller. He gets it, or I get him rather. I also like David Sedaris' books - he CRACKS me up!
Heroes:
Jesus because he died for me, I can't really say that anyone else has ever done anything like that for me...Also my dad, you'd have to meet him to understand - if you have met him, he's probably your hero too...
