About grandtheftaudiorecords
Started in 1994 by a veteran of the early 80s underground music scene,
Grand Theft Audio's mission as a record label is to dig up old long lost
punk, hardcore, post punk and underground recordings from the late 70s
through mid 80s and release them as retrospective cds complete with 16
booklets that contain photos, gig flyers, lyrics, and the band's history.
Being an artist friendly label where the musicians who made the music
are fully involved in each project means GTA is able to release many
never before heard recordings for the very first time anywhere.
GTA has released over 50 full length cds featuring groups from around
the world including Agnostic Front, Sado-nation, Circle One, Lost
Generation, Rattus, Demob, Antidote, War Of Destruction, Lockjaw and
many more.

How To Submit Music To GTA:So you would like to submit some music to
Grand Theft Audio for release consideration; please read the following
below: If you are a new group or even an older band looking to release
newly recorded material then your chances of a GTA release are not very
good. Mainly GTA's interests fall within reissuing/first issuing old
punk, hardcore, underground, and post punk recordings ('76 - '85) along
with some earlier proto punk and garage (please check the very bottom to
see our list of groups whose ex members we would like to contact).
If your group does not fit into any of the above categories then do not
feel completely discouraged as just to give to give you an idea of our
crazy tastes here is a short list of groups GTA would have dug reissuing
had they hit their heads, lost their way and come knocking on our door:
Caberat Voltaire, Bowie, Can, Souixsie, Stooges, Velvet Underground,
Jam, Joy Division, New York Dolls, and well we do not care what you call
it.As you can see from our catalog no one should feel that their band
were too obscure for GTA to show interest and by the same token your
group's perceived or real "popularity" will have little to do with
whether or not we are interested, as GTA only releases music it digs.
Very important is that you do not attempt to authorize recordings to GTA
that you do not hold the rights over. If you are in possession of a
recording that a band does not know about and would like to see it
released then perhaps we could come to some sort of arrangement only if
band members give their approval to GTA.
Music should be submitted on either audio cd, cassette, or vinyl. Sorry
but any music files emailed to us will be automatically dumped in the
trash and we will also not go to any website to listen. Your package
should also include a little bit of info about your group along with
your name, address, phone number with best times to call, and email address.
We will not return your package contents or trade them for our releases.
