About Me

I'm someone who needs to be surrounded by creative people. I'm a fashion design major at Mount Mary College and will hopefully become a fashion illustrator in a few years. I love Chicago and being engulfed in crowds. I listen to any kind of loud, rockish music from emo to death metal and everything in between. I have a naturally laid back personality and that's probably why I end up screwing myself over when it comes to the types of boys I date. But hey everyone makes mistakes...I'm sure to find someone to forgive me!

My Interests

Lightning storms and drunken voicemail messages, Having my drink and a half wherever and dancing all night long, "Imitation of Christ" inspired thrift store shopping! melted chocolate, sitting on park swings late at night, talking to strangers at rockshows, Switching pants with little scene boys at house parties!LOL! living in the moment, painting, drawing, photoshopping everything!!!, playing drunken Uno with my family, hanging out regularly with the Fedex-ers, Reminiscing with the old Value Village crew!, Dancing to industrial music with Michelle and Cat at Club ?! Drinking martinis with Chris at P.F. Changs! Becoming friends with people who I once thought were my worst enemies:) Watching old movies, busy cities and/or beautiful surroundings...anything tarnished and vintage from old jewelry and clothing to black and white movies. Anything from the past, Costume History...the 1800s thru the 1970s. I have an absolute obsession with dramatic romanticism; it's just awful how I get so swept into it all (it's one of my main inspirations when it comes to fashion design). Oh and I can't leave out how everything I'm drawn to is inspired by the Victorian era, from high lacey collars to whalebone corsets. ART is a major portion in my life, eveything that I am and ever will be depends on how well my artistic side is received and hopefully it will get me to where I want to be which is New York to work as a fashion illustrator/stylist for Zink magazine. If I could go back in time and be anything...it would definitely be a cross between a 1920s flapper and a Victorian Gibson girl! LOL!!! ...

I'd like to meet:

♥..........................NATE BARCALOW! ♥!!!...and the fashion photographer Evgeniy Shaman, her work has provided inspiration for all of my design projects:) ...

I'm also starting to become addicted to Korean dramas that my Asian friend is letting me borrow. Plus I love foreign films such as La Dolce Vita and Europa Europa, and Japanese horror movies such as the Tomie movies and A Tale of Two Sisters. I also recently saw The Devil's Rejects and loved it; the music is so great!.. .. ...
