Trustfall (9:30 Club July 11th!)

About Me

Rockville High School SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) Organization
Trustfall is a surprisingly seasoned band founded by 19 year old twin brothers Max (vocals, bass) and Spencer Ernst (vocals, guitar) who have been writing songs since they were 5 years old and have been performing live since the age of 11. In 2008, Greg Mallick (drums) and Patrick Shine (guitar) joined the band. Hailing from Washington DC, the quartet has built a name through numerous performances at Washington, DC’s 9:30 Club, Virginia’s Jammin’ Java, NYC’s Mercury Lounge, Baltimore’s Rams Head Live, and other elite venues up and down the East Coast.
Trustfall signed a publishing deal in 2008 with Cherry Lane Music (Elvis Presley, Black Eyed Peas, John Legend, Wolfmother, Quincy Jones). Networks such as MTV and ESPN have used Trustfall’s compositions, and their music was featured on the CBS TV series, Cane. The band has a diverse recording history.
They have been in the studio with names such as Stacy Jones, (Plain White T’s, American Hi-Fi, Veruca Salt), Chris Keup (Jason Mraz, Lifehouse), Jon Kaplan (The Whigs, Sara Bareilles, Maroon 5), Jeff Juliano, and David Connelly. Their new self-titled E.P. was released nationally on April 28, 2009, and was mastered by Chris Gehringer (NAS, Missy Elliott, Jason Mraz).
Trustfall is co-managed by Eddie Fam and Alan Stewart. Fam, owner of IMPACT Marketing & Events, has managed SEV. As manager, he signed them to a major record deal with Geffen Records which landed the band a Pepsi Blue Commercial that aired during the MTV Awards. Stewart, from Magus Entertainment, has managed Duran Duran, Ferry Corsten, and Emmet Swimming.
The band is endorsed by Gibson guitars, Fender basses, and Mesa Boogie amps. Additionally, the band is sponsored by DC based iKY Clothing, which was nominated by VH1 as one of the “Top 3 Rock Gear” Companies in 2007 and was the official clothing sponsor for the 2008 Oscars and American Music Awards.
In the 2009/2010 season, Trustfall will be the youngest artists in residence at the prestigious Strathmore Music Center in Maryland. Over 100 acts were invited to audition and only six were selected. Most of the other musicians that have been selected are college graduates from prominent schools of music from around the country.
Trustfall recently took the stage in front of 625 students at Rockville High School in Maryland to promote teen responsibility as part of the “Every 15 Minutes” program for Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) where they featured their original anti-drunk driving anthem “Drive Home.”
Washington DC's On Tap Magazine called Trustfall one of five "bands to watch" at Dewey Beach Music Conference. With tour dates, special appearances and film/TV work lined up for the band, the guys definitely plan on living up to that.
