Monster Bizzness

About Me

This is a MySpace page for a movie that’s currently in preproduction - now that’s scary!
MONSTER BIZZNESS is a powerful, gruesome, sarcastic movie where monsters take their own spin on the business of horror. MONSTER BIZZNESS started out as a collaborative effort between lifetime horror punk rocker Dave Street and actor Joel Weiss. Street once wrote early insert notes for the horror punk icon band The Misfits (who recently celebrated their 30th anniversary) and went on to write lyrics with the legendary Bobby Steele for the horror punk band The Undead. Street also once had a punk theater company, Robot Factory, that was included in VH-1’s "Behind The Music" series.
Weiss, who is also an associate producer of the movie, has over thirty years of acting experience under his belt and gained early notoriety in his career for his role as Cropsey, a member of the Rogues gang headed by Luther (David Patrick Kelly) in Walter Hill’s now-legendary cult film THE WARRIORS. Weiss also had a lead role in an Off-Broadway play written by Street called “Alive at the Factory”. He has since gone on to appear in BREWSTER’S MILLIONS, ANOTHER 48 HOURS, FART: THE MOVIE, EDDIE PRESSLEY, THE METEOR MAN, CONGO, and VICE GIRLS.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anyone into monsters and justice!!
Originally, Street planned on calling the film HORROR BUSINESS after The Misfits’ record of the same name, but was then informed that a film already existed with that same title.
Since then, the project has attracted new players in the film’s development. Douglas Dunning, an actor in countless horror and monster flicks, is now part of the team. As the script has begun to generate interest, more movie actors and actresses have also expressed an interest of being in the movie.
Street projects that much of the music will include new horror songs written with Bobby Steele, and some songs recorded by other young horror punk bands. But he also would like to make the soundtrack a collaboration of horror music groups.
The first online interview with horror movie critic and interviewer Jonathan Stryker will soon be available at House of Horrors.com
