Flogiston was formed in february 2008. The name of the band comes from the phlogiston theory, which presented a fire-like element called “phlogistonâ€, a substance without colour, odour, taste, or mass that was contained within all inflammable materials, and liberated during combustion. Johnny was the man behind the idea of putting together a band that would play traditional irish, and some non irish, non traditional tunes, in a modern, sort of swingie, somewhat jazzy, just a bit funky, lovely sort of way. He began the search for musicians destined to be in such a band, and found them in Lovro, Kamenko and Hrvoje. Through the different musical backgrounds of the band members, Flogiston got it's signature sound, that's always ready to musically flogisticate! ............................................................
