I'm restless, and easily distracted. In fact, there is probably a 99.573% chance that I should be doing work right now. I love to dance; I love watching it, learning it, making it up spontaneously to some crazy interpretive music. Speaking of music, it's such a great thing. It moves me, puts me in a happier mood while working, echoes my emotions. Basically, it's like a best friend. Eating is more than a necessity for me, it's pretty much a hobby. I tend to learn most things the hard way. And I sure have learned a lot in the short amount of time I've lived. One thing I've realized is that wasting my time focusing on other people, especially people who aren't even in my life, has really negatively affected my ability to live a carefree life. But since I've become more aware of my own worth and have surrounded myself with people who are actually worth my time, life is good. I think a lot, and wonder about things like: What the heck is up with gross caterpillars that hang from trees above unsuspecting bikers and pedestrians? (This is completely true at Stanford) As far as I can see, there is no evolutionary advantage to that whatsoever.. but anyway.. I love laughing and do it often. I observe people a lot... and people can be pretty silly. (That's not to say I'm not.. duh) It's funny to see how many young people talk about or complain about all the "pain" they've gone through, or how life is horrible because of some relationship problem. In fact, I used to be one of those people. But there are bigger problems in the world, like the AIDS epidemic, or the genocide in Darfur, Sudan. And, unless they actually have faced a life-threatening disease or sacrificed something huge, people who are so immersed in comparatively small problems like being confused about a boy or girl's feelings toward them, really need to stop victimizing themselves unnecessarily or boast that they've struggled through life. I think one thing that really makes a person stronger is when he/she can admit to him/herself, when he/she makes a huge mistake, that he/she has truly fucked up (think I used enough 'he/she's'? lol), and realizes when changes need to be made, rather than expecting someone else to change. Like I said... I tend to learn things the hard way. But if it weren't for past struggles and conflicts, I wouldn't be in the place I am right now. It's perfect. You see.. I am utterly in love with this boy named Andrew. He makes me happy when skies are gray.. and also when they're blue ♥.
