Mike is a country guitarist based in the UK. His guitar and 5 string banjo playing started at an early age with Albert Lee and Bill Keith being his biggest influences and still his all time favorites. On the guitar front, Mike is also a huge fan of Johnny Hiland, Brent Mason, Brent Rowan, Tony Rice, Danny Gatton, Chet Atkins, jerry Reed, Marcel Dadi and Buster B Jones to name just a few. Bill Keith, Bela Fleck, Tony Trischka, Al Munde, Earl Scruggs and Tad Stepien (great british player) are among Mike's Banjo favorites. He spent 6 years playing and touring with his great friend and UK country music legend Kelvin Henderson this included touring the UK and Europe, studio recording (Mike played guitar on the acclaimed "Kelvin Henderson Band" album) along with numerous radio and festival appearances. Mike has toured and gigged with numerous renowned artists including Sonny Curtis (Buddy Holly and The Crickets), Hugh Moffatt (Old Flames Can't Hold A Candle To You Recorded by Dolly Parton amongst many others), the great Tom Russell, Steve Young (Seven Bridges Road, recorded by the Eagles). As a session guitarist, Mike's playing can be heard on several artists albums.
