The idea of what eventually would begin evolving into "7Shades" was conceived when James Gearries & Harold (tr00f) Allen met in 2002 at "Rehearsal Studios" on the South East side of Indianapolis while recording/rehearsing their respective, original projects. The two sensed a musical connection and that collaborating was inevitable. A rock/R&B project was talked about for what seemed like ages.
It was after James Gearries had the opportunity to perform on the '05 Hollywood Edition of "American Idol" that the two began compiling material in the spring of 2006, complimenting one another's styles. In March of 2007, tr00f & Gearries performed as "7Shades" on the nationally telivised "Showtime at the Aplollo." Since then, recording a progressive rock album as "7Shades" at "Voices Recording Studio" in Branson Missouri under the executive production of Pat McManus.
With perplexing chords, arousing rhythms, & heart-felt lyrics carried by undeniable melodies & harmonies, "7Shades" is preparing to take it beyond global!
