Keith Sherry is a musician/song writer based in Dublin-Ireland . Over the last year he has been establishing himself on the Irish music scene . Radio appearences & press interest has seen a steady growth in listeners and fans alike . His style has been described as " Laid back soulful music with a hipsway groove " along with his early roots of Indie/Electronica that have crept somewhere into the sound . Keiths first journey into music was the usual garage band thing . He joined Dublin band Big Into Rhythm and then went about puting together their own recording and rehearsal space and working on the thing that eluded most bands . . . an original sound . They had done all the usual venues around Dublin & had their set rehearsed blindfolded . But the effort to keep the line up together and constantly looking for gigs was too much and the band went their seperate ways . During the mid nineties Keith got involved with several collaborations . Notably with one of the musicians from BIR . He had moved to London and was working in recording studios over in the UK and back in Dublin . This gave them access to top studios to record their demos & backing tracks . Again more valuable recording experience gained and more importantly developing as a songwriter . Towards the end of the decade he took a break from music for a few years ... " Looking back now I fell out of love with it , I wasn't enjoing it , my fire went out " ... By the time he felt that familiar urge to write again a lot had changed . Keith went back to basics learning the whole virtual studio software package . He set up a home studio just outside the city centre around 2002/03 . At the start his time was divided between producing demos for other artists and more collaboations. These projects ranged from ambient & electronica to soul & nu jazz & some jam band & indie stuff in between . From 2004/05 he started to write solo full time and it just kept going . Over the last couple of years the songs have come together and Spring 2009 sees the release of his debut CD "Thin Skin" as well as download facilities set up . Although the music has a band feel to it , there is only Keith performing & recording the songs . He has been lucky enough to have had some great people come in on the Thin Skin project . Session musician Rama Block played accustic & electric guitars & vocalist Sallay Garnett sang lead on "Gone" & harmony on "Your Little Need" . The Toc Brothers made the promo video for his "Slow Return" track . And photography was done by Roy Sheils .
