Captain Pillow

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace) Twas the year 1997, and three young lads came togehter in the Philadelhpia area to jam on some acoustic songs. Many dark nights in wooded areas and in smoke filled basements you could hear their songs, some say you still can. This led to the birth of Captain Pillow. They experimented with many basement recordings, and played various coffee houses in and around the Philly area, becoming regulars. The radio station WXPN featured Captain Pillow twice on a television program they aired from a coffee house in Wayne PA, called the White Dog Cafe. Around 1998 Captian Pillow began doing some recoridngs in South Philly with Anthony Newett at Newett Recording Studios. A few tracks still exsist from this time. The band also did some recording with everyone's favorite DJ/Producer/Engineer, Joe Light, www.myspace.com/joelicht. Luckily a good portion of their basement tapes have with stood the test of time. And we are in the process of bringing them to you. In 2005 the members of Captain Pillow regrouped along with AJ Scipione to form Self Help Society, www.myspace.com/selfhelpsociety.
