About Me

I'm English but have lived abroad in various countries for 7 years. In my artwork I start with an idea and then expand from that point out rather than conceptualising how something should look before I begin. For me it has more meaning if it's expressive, not conceived. I do enough art planning at work so no thanks, not here.
I've been interested in art since my Nan taught me to draw as a kid and through my teens and twenties my style has evolved into something more abstract. I'm a spare time artist so work is completed as and when I get the time.
My life experiences have been varied, tough and at times tragic and so inevitably this is reflected in my style. Our pasts are responsible for making us what we are, but only we are responsible for what we become. I'll leave the psycho-analysis to the experts if they are sufficiently bored and need a fresh carcass to pick through.
If you want any work done send a request. I'm all for fair trade so drop me a line.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Anyone with a passion for art, design, photography, music and any other creative media. They don't have to produce anything special by conventional standards, all that matters is that their work speaks to them.
Professional work currently has little room for personal expression so consider this as my alter ego. My dream job would be being paid to be creative, keep dreaming for now though son.

Creative thought is what separates us from the animals in accounts.

My Blog

Why I draw the way I do

Life doesnt imitate art

"Life imitating art" is a phrase much older than you, I or the average myspace blogger. However it signifies a potential link between art's role in defining society's state whilst providing that same ...

Windows to the soul

If in the old adage "The eyes are the windows of the soul", what is the art?I see art as a malleable mass of the three E's - experience, emotion and evaluation of life's trials, rolled together and pu...
