Early Life
Dean Technical High School (1997-2001)
In the fall of 1997, Ron enrolled in William J. Dean Technical High School in Holyoke. Originally an Electronics major (or vocation if you will), Ron switched to Data Processing (eventually renamed Computer Technology and Data Communications).Under the tutelage of Kevin Hart and Mary Allen, Ron enjoyed his freshmen year in this new environment. In Ron's sophomore year, Mr. Hart would be replaced by Leonard Gibbons, an individual who along with Mary Allen would play an important role in Ron's life. Ron would excel in his chosen vocation proving to be a vital role during his tenure as a Dean Tech Student. Making the honor roll several times. In 1999, he would join the school's wrestling team, he wasn't the best at it but he loved the workouts and the camaraderie of the team he was on. Ron also played a small role in raising funds for a trip to Washington, DC in the school's Close-Up Program. In 2001, Ron would graduate from Dean earning a high school diploma and a vocational certificate. From there he was undecided on his future.
United States Marine Corps (2002-2007)
Following High School Ron worked at Sears and then shifted his focus to the military as an alternative to school. The Marine Corps was an idea he had flirted with during his high school days. In late 2002, Ron finally put his plan to action and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in Springfield, Massachusetts. In 2003, Ron shipped out to Parris Island, South Carolina for his basic training. After recruit training Ron spent the next three months in Camp Lejeune, NC learning his required job training. Ron's first and only full time assignment would be in 29 Palms, California where a whole new chapter in his life would unfold! Meeting many awesome people along the way and forging unforgettable friendships, Ron would achieve successes and do some awesome stuff that he never thought possible!Life After The Marines(2007-Present)
In 2007, Ron had decided he accomplished everything he wanted to as a United States Marine and decided to pursue other interests. Despite a recommendation for reenlisting and an opportunity to travel abroad Ron wanted to refocus on a college education that he had started during his time in California. After fulfilling his contractual obligations Ron spent some time in San Antonio, Texas and would then return to Holyoke in March of 2007. During this time he made a brief return to Sears for the holiday season and is attending school full time at Holyoke Community College, majoring in Graphic Design. Aiming for his Associates, Ron will then transfer to a University. During this time Ron is also starting a job as an Online Retailer. In 2008, Ron's college pursuits looking to be paying off after his 2007 academic performance warranted him a spot in an honors class. The future is looking bright.Personal Life
Ron being the carried away fool that he is sometimes finds himself rambling about various subject from Boston Red Sox baseball, to his best friends, to movies, occasionally professional wrestling, art, and even himself! He's a fool for the arts be it music, movies, graphic novels and other literature. Another pastime of Ron's is to travel to local businesses such as restaurants and general stores all over the Northeast, because Ron just loves "mom and pop" places!-Did you know?-
Ron is a former United States Marine? Yes it's true, Ron spent four years in the toughest branch of the military. His time as a postal worker in the Marines earned him several awards and an Honorable Discharge as a Corporal.
