The below drawings are some of my latest artwork. Both pieces have roughly around 150 to 200 hours between the time I laid down the composition to the final stroke of my pencil. Jennifer Lopez is the new drawing I'm working on and the Jessica Alba is my first art piece using Liquid Lead. Liquid Lead consists of a combination of pencil, charcoal, various erasers, exacto knife, and a few layers of airbrush. I work it in many...many layers. Laying down the object shapes, working the pencil and charcoal, then taking out the highlights and getting every tiny detail I can. Then airbrush a light tint of the area I've worked and repeat the process over and over until I come to that photorealistic look. It's very time consuming but as you can see the end result is beautiful. If you'd like to purchase a print of my drawings, go to www.liquidleadart.com and find it under (Donny Luke/Jessica Alba). Better get one now while they're affordable. I might be very famous one day and just think about how cool it would be to have a Donny Luke original on your wall. Ya know you want one!
My tastes are very broad. I love anybody who has some true talent. I guess it depends on your definition of talent but basically anybody who doesn't need their voice digitalized a million times over.
Comedies Comedies Comedies! Can't get enough goofy ass shit. Although when the hell was the last time they made a really good comedy? I love all kinds of movies really but comedies, action, and dramas are my favorite.
Rarely ever watch TV. I hate the whole reality TV craze. I miss the old sitcoms that actually entertained you and weren't a bunch of crazy morons eating bugs, screwing every thing in sight, and living in a so called real world. I like dramas and something a little more thought out. I love the shows on HBO. Sex and the City, Six Feet Under, Curb Your Enthusiasm, etc....I was however extremely dissapointed in the last episode of Sopranos. Probably my favorite show out of all of them and the ending just sucked ass!
Right now I'm reading a book called "Good To Great" for work. It pretty much is how it sounds. Learning to focus on your strengths and the things that really matter in your life and career, which will eventually take you to a higher place.
