Klimax Surfboards

At present, Klimax is a surfboard brand recognized all around the world. In 1990 the experienced shaper Rodolfo Klima created the brand Klimax seeking for a concept that involves the sensation of the surf practice. Since then, the Klimax proposal is to offer a high performance surfboard, not only to Peru but also to the greatest beaches of the globe (Hawaii, Australia, South Africa, Indonesia, USA, among others); where the Klimax surfboard’s reputation has gone forth as we say “we did it”, keeping vanguard in shape and design according to their develop in the world, as well as shaping out of Peruvian borders. Rodolfo Klima has also made possible that shapers like Dennis Pang, Glenn Minami, Michael Baron and Bill Stewart show in our country and, as well, has shared ideas and knowledge about being a shaper with them. Rodolfo Klima starts shaping at a very early age in Brazil, where he lived from the age of 5 to the age of 15. At present, with more than 25 years of experience he has shaped in Italy on 1989 and 1990, California on 1990, 1993, and 1994, on 1995 in Chile (more than 300 surfboards per month), in Hawaii on 1996, 2001 and 2004, in Ecuador on 2000 among other countries, what has allowed him to improve his technique. Thanks to the constant traveling to different parts of the world, Rodolfo has sharpened his hand becoming a leader in the Peruvian market, as well as a well recognized shaper among the best Latin American shapers. Another great achievement of these last years was the acquisition of the computerized machine DSD (Digital Surfing Design), the best machine for surfboard manufacture. These days, we export our surfboards to all, Central America, South America, the United States and Japan, obtaining very encouraging results. Our final objective is to solidify our brand on every country and get to be among the tops of the world. Therefore, our effort is displayed each time more on having better shapers and excellent finishes.
