I live in one of the most beautiful places on earth, where the forest meets the ocean. Luckily for me, I get to work at home where I can look out at the splendor of the San Juans. I make my living solely from creating little pieces of wearable, functional art under the name of LUMMI STITCHCRAFT. I am a total fabri-holic. Surrounded by the hundreds of yards of fabric I can't seem to help purchasing, I cut and iron and sew to my heart's content. I am enthralled by color and pattern and texture. Drape and flow. My particular passion is in combining all of those elements in surprising and interesting ways to create items that are totally unique. My pride is in crafting products that are well-made, structurally sound and meant to work for hard for you. My handbags are all one-of-a-kind that beg to be found by their one true owner. My delight is in seeing them come together: purse and purchaser. Matches made in crafty heaven.
As for the HOOLA HOOPS, well, I am one of those people who can't bear to be indoors when the sun is shining (a big reason to be self-employeed.) So, when the sunrays blaze thru my windows, I go outside to tape up hoops. Another medium in which to explore color and texture. I get to play, very impt., and every Saturday, I get the satisfaction of watching people of all ages, body types and walks-of-life spinning the hoops at the BELLINGHAM FARMERS' MARKET, where I am a vendor. In a word, it's a gas.
I'm just getting up a store on ETSY: The URL is ********* stitchcrafter.etsy.com ********** CHECK IT!I also now have a FACEBOOK page.. check me out under LUMMI STITCHCRAFT
