Matthew was tied to a split-rail fence where he was beaten and left to die in the cold of the night. Almost 18 hours later he was found by a cyclist who initially mistook him for a scarecrow. Matthew died on October 12 at 12:53 am at a hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado. KILLED BECAUSE HE WAS GAY!!!

I think Martin Luther King Jr. is a big one for me, he did a lot change the world, and without him I think that this world would be a scary place to live. I also look up to all the GLBT allies and GLBT people that have spoke out against all the injustices that our community has endured throughout history. Its because of them that I am able to out and have the understanding that it's okay to be gay.
