Child abuse is a serious issue in society today. Some people claim that it is an overblown problem that affects fewer that people claim. The truth is that 1 in 6 people will have been abused in childhood. The amount of children that are abused is not the only problem, the pain caused and the damage done to the individual is painful and in many cases irreparable.
It is not lost though, we can help stop the pain that is suffered by children every day. The first method is by raising social awareness which is the purpose of this profile so please, add me and pass on the message. We can stop child abuse.

There are four types of child abuse.
Physical abuse
Sexual abuse
Neglect
Emotional abuse
The symptoms of sexual abuse are -
Inappropriate interest in or knowledge of sexual acts
Seductive behavior
Reluctance or refusal to undress in front of others
Extra aggression or, at the other end of the spectrum, extra compliance
Fear of a particular person or family member
The symptoms of neglect are - Clothes that are dirty, ill-fitting, ragged, and/or not suitable for the weather
Unwashed appearance; offensive body odor
Indicators of hunger: asking for or stealing food, going through trash for food, eating too fast or too much when food is provided for a group
Apparent lack of supervision: wandering alone, home alone, left in a car
Colds, fevers, or rashes left untreated; infected cuts; chronic tiredness
In schoolchildren, frequent absence or lateness; troublesome, disruptive behavior or its opposite, withdrawal
In babies, failure to thrive; failure to relate to other people or to surroundings
The general symptoms of a type of child abuse are -
Low self esteem
Depression and anxiety
Aggressive behaviour/anger issues
Relationship issues
Alienation and withdrawal
Clinginess and neediness
Flashbacks and Nightmares
An array of disorders
