A completely independent band consisting of Nathan Granofsky and Chris Hansen, both members of SongSuns were bred on the outskirts of the small town of Franklin, West Virginia. Needless to say, minimal distractions allowed the boys ample time (between their duties of sheep shearing and stick chucking) to develop a superior song writing ability. The chemistry in their musical collaborations stems from a close friendship that has lasted for over a decade.
At the age of 15, Chris started writing songs for girls. Nathan, at the age of 17, was inspired to write better songs because of Chris' inspiration to write songs for girls. They began writing music together, collaborating on many different projects, including music for short films and scores for theatrical plays. After a couple years of writing catchy songs for random babes, Chris and Nathan decided to write an actual album and form a band.
Having a wide array of influences keeps SongSuns' Folk/Rock fresh and inviting, but still filled with catchy accessible melodies for those who don't understand David Bowie or William Shatner.
Not to be pigeon-holed into a single niche, SongSuns is constantly working on music of varying genres. While currently working with a Folk/Rock sound (which can be heard on their debut album "GÄ“tuhyoo") SongSuns has written and performed many original tunes of varying styles.
While SongSuns is currently armed with an arsenal of catchy folk/rock/pop tunes, they have the ability and desire to write whatever and however they want. So keep your eyes peeled for new releases..... cause you'll never hear 'em coming.
