Mitchel Jon was born July 28, 1964 in Dickenson, North Dakota. Since his parents have always been music lovers, he was influenced early on, listening to great artists such as Jim Reeves and Nat King Cole. Out on the farm his parents recall Mitchel Jon putting on ‘mini-concerts’ at the foot of their bed just before bedtime when he was about five years old. They have always been a strong anchor throughout his career.
The family relocated to Minnesota where Mitchel Jon continued to sing in church, at weddings, etc…At the age of 15 he started his first band playing sock hops and anywhere they could perform. As time would have it, he continued singing and playing professionally in the club circuit throughout the Midwest. At that same time, Mitchel Jon began writing and recording for himself and others, getting involved in various recording projects and music styles as well as writing and recording commercials for radio.
Finally, after trying to run the race for and by himself, Mitchel Jon was brought full circle back to his roots in church. Mitchel Jon has a strong testimony of how the Lord can change a life. Drugs, and alcohol once consumed him, but now he uses his experiences and talent to proclaim God’s grace and forgiveness. He and his wife, Holly, gave their lives to Jesus Christ in 1996. They moved to Nashville, Tennessee along with their daughter, Allegra, and their son Lincoln, in 1998. He has been blessed in his songwriting career, having his songs recorded by such artists as N-Harmony, Chosen Few, Jessica King and many others.
In 2001, Mitchel Jon became co-owner of the dynamic trio “Three Bridgesâ€. Through the course of the next six years the group experienced two No.1 singles and 6 top twenty hits. Mitch’s soulful vocal edge and grass roots personality has caught the attention of listeners nationwide and created a wide, and varied fan base.
Coming from a small North Dakota town to the music capital of Nashville, Mitchel Jon thanks God for all He has brought him through and blessed him with, and looks forward to the rest of the journey sharing His love.
