When compadres Brynjar & Öyvind jumped into the rockabilly treasure chest and dug themselves deep down, they decided to do it for real and start their own hot-rockin' trio. A hunger for authenticity resulted in firing of one bass player, and enter Paal Kristiansen, double bass trasher with no boundaries concerning how to abuse his mirror-covered bass.
The result was great: three guys with a big love for old-school rockabilly & rock 'n' roll, with the main focus on paying tribute to the music instead of dressing up in pompadours and sharp suits. They love the style, but will rather leave it to someone with a bit more hair- and comb finesse. Playing mainly songs by the legends they love, The Retrorockers is also in the making of their own classics, which will be posted here when ready!
After playing pubs in the deserted north-west of Norway, they've now managed to sneak their way in to a couple of gigs in Oslo, hopefully with more to follow!
