dy – “The Warlord’s Daughterâ€A "different breed" of artist, Washington, DC native- Remedy dabbled in song writing, and production as a past-time, but would become more vocal in 2005 when she'd link up with two former Maryland University classmates; gospel hip-hop artists Divenomous (Amadi Williams) and Navigator (Arthur J. Matthews) to form the now three man gospel hip-hop group “PF Allstars.†Remedy says, “I knew linking up with PF Allstars was a definite Godsend.†They believe strongly in my ability to deliver lyrically and my ability to stay true to the faith we share and standard we uphold as believers. I have a good circle of people around me who offer the best support, and they’ve all helped to propel me forward in 2007. I’m looking forward to 2008!â€
While taking influence from various ‘gospel’ and secular emcees; her greatest influence the Holy Spirit, Remedy's musical influences would help her craft her own spirited and soulful Hip-Hop sound. This sound is hardly complete without the ethereal “XouL MusiK ProDuction†mastermind Xavier Kemp, with whom she’d also be linked in 2005. Xoul’s production would spur her writing to greater heights and the two have been building ever since to make her first project one to be remembered. Now in the process of laying down this first project, a 12-song LP titled “A Warlord’s Daughter†with producer Xavier Kemp and PF Allstar Music CEO ‘Divenomous,’ the album is due to drop late Spring 2008. With one of the more popular tracks -- aptly titled "Rize" – produced by Xavier Kemp of XouL MusiK ProDuctions. "Rize" is now available for a limited time free download by contacting Remedy via email at [email protected] until the official release.
"As for being focused... I'm like the horses at the Priqueness, blinders on and all I see in front of me is purpose, work, occupation 'til He comes, fruit, Life, Strength, TRUTH, and a harvest of souls." -Remedy
