SLIDESHOW 1: SAINTS SAMPLERSometimes, you're doing the best you can, and life still turns around and deals you some hard blows. You stagger along with the weight of your sorrow and pain, seeking some relief and it would seem there is none. Then you reach deep inside you and if you have faith, you will remember that this world is more than just about you, that pain and suffering are universal, that you are only one of many seekers. If you believe in a power greater than you, you recognize that there is a bigger picture, and perhaps the unhappiness in your life is part of a whole - unfathomable, yet perfect. For me, my faith is that rod that keeps me upright when I would have fallen otherwise. There are many questions to which there are no answers. It takes faith to take a deep breath, and just let it be. The religious images you see here are part of my reaching deep into my soul to find the strength to believe.

Panza llena corazon contento (A full paunch means a contented heart): San Pascual represents family gatherings around the hearth, celebrating God's bounty.
