“This debut CD packs enough brassy testosterone to heat up your subwoofer, thump your floorboards, scatter your pets and cause neighbors or idle passersby to gnash their teeth…high-octane musicianship.”
JazzTimes – May 2009
“All nine tracks on the CD are played with the same intensity and blistering brass playing that made Ferguson a household name.”

"The Loudhorns don't just play jazz, they hunger for it. That drive and devotion to the art is in every note and every phrase."
Wildy's World
“One For Maynard is an outstanding album that truly shows the powerful sound of a brass band. The Loudhorns succeed in creating an album that is as catchy as it is talented.”

Midwest Record – Volume 32/Number 78 (January 17, 2009)
“Notably all three of the trumpet players in this band could play lead in just about any group in the country.”

THE LOUDHORNS live up to their name. Comprised of Nashville’s top studio brass players – players who have shared the stage and recording studio with superstars such as Elton John, Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin, Garth Brooks, Maynard Ferguson, Tony Bennett, Randy Brecker and Larry Carlton – THE LOUDHORNS deliver a potent mixture of jazz, funk, R&B and rock. The group consists of Steve Patrick, Vinnie Ciesielski and Mike Casteel on trumpet, Erin Horner on horn, Barry Green and Roy Agee on trombone, and Joe Murphy on tuba. The band is anchored by a rhythm section featuring Adam Agati on guitar, Ron Gilmore ..boards, Tony Nagy on bass, and drummer Jason Waters.
The band’s debut album, One For Maynard, is available now. It features nine tracks and, as its title suggests, is a tribute to the late Maynard Ferguson, the legendary jazz trumpet player whose instantly identifiable sound set a new standard for loud, powerful, aggressive brass playing. Interestingly, lead trumpet player Steve Patrick was a member of Maynard Ferguson’s band in the early 1990’s. The CD features five covers of songs made famous by Ferguson, including “Give It One”, “La Fiesta”, “Left Bank Express”, “Superbone Meets the Bad Man”, and “Birdland”. Ferguson was also known for his instrumental covers of hit pop songs and THE LOUDHORNS pay tribute to that practice through their covers of Stevie Wonder’s “I Wish”, Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” and Aerosmith’s “Fly Away From Here”.
The band also performs original music written by and for THE LOUDHORNS. Recent concert appearances in Cincinnati, OH, and Watertown, TN, have garnered standing ovations after captivating audiences with their stunning power and virtuosity.
One For Maynard is available on CD at independent record stores across the country and at online retailers including CD Baby.com and Amazon.com. The album will be available digitally at all major digital retailers including iTunes.
