YO! My names Ateeq and I am a 15 year old boy currently studying in Derby, UK. I have always enjoyed Punjabi and RnB music and was really inspired by the British Asian Artists who produced them. I got involved with a local project called Surtal Asian Arts and learnt to play the dhol by Gurcharan Mall of the Dholblasters and Apna Sangeet.Through this I performed at many concerts and 'mele' and got to meet many artists such as, Rishi Rich, Juggy D, Jay Sean, Raghav, B21, Jassi Sidhu, DCS, Notorious Jatt, Punjabi MC, Metz and trix, and many more. I then took part in an MC'ing and DJ'ing workshop with XS-BASS and Dolfin MC from Zee TV, in which I learnt the art of 'hyping up the crowd' ! as well as lyrical MC and DJ-ing. However, now I am interested in singing. I sing fluently and smoothly. I can sing in many different styles including that of Jay sean/ H Dhami / RnB as well as being able to sing bollywood songs. I have contacted a number of artists and friends including newcomer, Manj Banwait and they have advised me to contact a Record Label or some Artists and maybe set up a meet or send a demo of me singing as they too think I have what it takes. I am currently in the process of sending a demo to Rishi Rich Productions. Although, I am currently busy at school and wont be able to go to the studios for a couple of weeks.
