Roots Revival is a new Roots/Dub Reggae night at Wire in Leeds. It's all about the music, our selectors will be playing pure quality reggae and dub - expect up-beat skanking sounds from the very earliest reggae of the late 60's to the latest roots conscious releases.

MEERKAT (Dubcentral/Universal Hi-Fi/93.2fm)
Promoter and resident selector at Dubcentral in Sheffield, Meerkat is coming up North to play us a special set of old school dub niceness. Expect 70s and 80s versions from the likes of King Tubby.
BEATNICK-OLAS (Shrewsbury Dub Club)
Roots selector and artist, Nick is going to be playing deep down rocking roots. Brace your ears for the likes the Heptones, Daweh Congo, the Mighty Diamonds and more.
SCRUMPY
Laptop in one hand, vintage vinyl in the other, resident Scrumpy will be playing soulful old roots, rocksteady and mellowed out one-drop dubs to start the night off with some good vibrations.
DADDY'S GIRL
Fresh from rinsing some classic tunes at the Smokestack, Daddy's Girl is going to pull some stonkers from the bag to get you skanking.
PLUS: Deep Vein Drumbosis (live percussion) and toasters galore!
As always, HIGH PRESSURE will be bringing their rig to provide the bassweight.
