After changing his birth name from the more difficult Alberto Aguilera Valadez, he began writing and singing songs in Juarez. He began recording for RCA, and soon became one of Latin music's biggest stars. As well, he wrote some of its most famous songs, including “Querida”, "Hasta Que Te Conocí " and “Amor Eterno”.
