About Me

I'm cynical, sarcastic, and idealistic at the same time. I've been married for almost five years. I don't have (nor want) kids but I have a dog that means the world to me.Some days I feel like I can make a difference in the world (which is the reason I went to law school) and other times I want to just stay in bed and pull the covers over my head. Sadly, the days where I want to stay in bed are starting to outnumber the ones where I feel like I can change the world. I suppose the aging process doesn't bode well for idealists.I graduated from law school in May but feel like my life is frozen in place. I don't know what kind of law I want to practice, or if I even WANT to practice. The idealistic part of me is leaning towards immigration law, and would love to go back to Africa and work there. The cynical part of me knows that I will probably spend the rest of my life at CVS, selling my soul to the corporate devil in order to bring home a paycheck. I think maybe I should just go back to grad school, get a PhD in some odd language, like Sanskrit, and just become one of those eccentric academic people that sits in their messy office and talks to themselves. Hey, it could happen. And I'd get to keep my soul.

I like music a lot. I like books. Just not law school books, I'm quite sick of them. Right now I'm reading one on the Black Death, and it's fabulous.

My parents. Firefighters. People who are helping those in third world countries.
