About Me

If you like what you hear, you might want to check out my other music page - a place for some of my more melodic, downtempo tracks.

My name is Ted. What we have here is the latest shift in my tinkering with sequencing and recording. None of this is really "planned" or "written", it's typically a matter of me sitting down and messing around on my computer or with my guitar until I find a direction I want to go in. However, I've started to get a little bit more serious about this, so I've been spending more time on things and often have some kind of idea in mind beforehand - lately, more and more of an idea.

Aside from occasionally messing around with vocoders or speech synths, the vast majority of what I do is instrumental. Other than some recorded guitar here and there, much of what I do is created (as well as sequenced) within FL Studio - a demo version, at that. I've been playing around with Ableton Live lately, too - but it's still alien to me. My guitar is a Carvin kit I put together in high school, with a fixed bridge and a bridge-position humbucker. The guitar is hooked up through a Digitech RP-80 multieffects processor/amp modeler, straight to my computer. When I do record stuff to use in FL, I usually use Audacity. My PC is one I've put together - nothing special, just a Core 2 Duo processor and 2 gigs of memory on a Gigabyte board with integrated audio.

Sounds Like:

A middle ground between button-mashing and educated guesswork... Or, as I like to think of it, the musical equivalent of doodling.
