About Me

Hi, I'm Ryan. Or Roan. Whichever you prefer, and depending on how we met, you may know me as one or the other.
I'd like to think I'm an interesting individual and a people person. I'm pretty easy going and I get along with just about everyone.
Before anyone asks: Yes, I'm gay. Don't listen to anything you've heard about me from other people because they're full of shit and I hope that that part of me doesn't bother you too much. If it does I think its probably better that we aren't friends.
I'm very opinionated and not afraid to speak my mind. Some people think I'm a dick because of this, but I'll leave that up to you to decide.
I'm going to college to become a writer in some way, shape or form. I haven't really decided what field of writing I want to move into yet, but I'm young and I figure I might as well explore my options now rather than do something I end up hating for the rest of my life, like working in a stupid Deli.
So obviously I like to write, and I do that a lot. Short stories, novels (that I start and NEVER finish) and Poetry (my favorite thing to write), I've done it all. I like to experiment in other fields of art as well. I have my own little solo electronic music project that I work on in my free time and I've been in a couple of bands in the past.
That's about it I guess. Go stalk someone else now plz kthnx.

My Interests

Writing, Reading, Music, Digital art, Video gaming, Technology, Economics, Blogging, Podcasting.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who can inspire me to create or propel me in my learning experiences. People like Chuck Palahniuk. Also Mike Rowe because I want to screw him blind.

Music:

My favorite bands are: Thrice, Thursday, Dir en grey, Circa Survive, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Blood Brothers, Envy, The Smashing Pumpkins and Underoath, among many other bands that I frequently listen to.

Movies:

Brokeback Mountain is a great film. I also really love The Dark Knight (best movie EVER -- I've seen it in theaters 5 times), 300, The Fifth Element and Blade Runner.

Television:

Brothers and Sisters is a great drama. Oh and Dirty Jobs because Mike Rowe is seriously one sexy bitch. Hell's Kitchen is great for a laugh, and we can't forget Mad Men because its a great show and because Jon Hamm is super hot.

Books:

Anything and everything by Chuck Palahniuk, Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead, Red Dragon, The Silence of the Lambs, Memoirs of a Geisha

Heroes:

Jimmy Chamberlin (Drummer for The Smashing Pumpkins/Zwan/The Jimmy Chamberlin Complex). Seriously one of the greatest drummers of all time. <3

Musings and observations of a depressed and utterly lost piece of work

You know, I had a breakdown the other day. Everything was going great, there was a smile on my face and on the glass-like surface everything was ace. But then I got to thinking and as we all know, thi...

*Sigh* So, this is it!

So I went to MCCC today to register for classes. It was a very long and tedious process and I was a little annoyed that I had to sit there from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM to see a counselor. But that's ok...
