"Yung FOCUS aka "PRINCE OF THE STREETS" started rapping around the young age of 10. The first rap he wrote was a church youth group assignment. The youth group facilitator loved the rap so much he asked FOCUS to perform it in front of the whole church, and since the he has been in love with the pen and pad.Ever since a young boy he enjoyed the spotlight. He began dancing at school talent shows, making everyone laugh by cracking jokes, and just6 being the "class clown". As time went on people began to take notice and not just for his trendy gear or superstar like swagger.. Many groups and numerous indie labels wanted to get the kid on their team because "This kid could write rhymes and deliver like no other"! And while working with these artists and labels was fun, FOCUS found that working as a solo artist seemed to be more fulfilling and give him more creative control.On his journey to super stardom FOCUS has worked with an array of Chicago artist such as Cap 1, Shawnna, and nationwide artist such as T.Waters(sosodef), Short Dawg(russel simmons music group), J-Nicks(Derty ent)and many more. he's spent alot of time in the studio working on his music as well as being the featured artist on other artist projects. For the pass 2 years he has been pumping out mix tapes to keep a healthy buzz going while working on his wordplay, and diligently preparing to release his album entitled"Street Credibility."
