About Me
I'm Jeremy, and I'm alive. Well, barely. A few months ago I decided to go kayaking across the Mississippi River (yeah, I know, not really the smartest move), the boat capsized and sank halfway across, leaving me to swim the other half. So, that's given me the impression life can be way too short to not enjoy it by meeting new people, going new places, and trying different things. If you really, really want you can read more about the whole fiasco, it's the sole blog entry I've got on here. Take a look, it's a good read. So, now that's out of the way, if you haven't already realized I'm slightly impulsive from time to time, here's more. I'm a 25 year old professional photographer (and big-box retail MIT) who's finally finished at LSU. What I'm going to do now that I've graduated I don't know. Travel more? Check. Law school? Check. Okay, maybe I do know where I'm going after all. The fun is in getting there. Or is it when you've arrived? I forget. In any case, the next milestone for me is going to be earning my J.D. It's what my sights are set on, and it's what I'm going to get.I live by taking pictures of other people, other people's kids, special events, parties, and destination photography. It's what helps pays the bills so I can take pictures that I *like* to take pictures of... it also gives me an excuse to travel, which is as important to me as photography is. I've been around the world multiple times - every continent but Asia, Austrailia, and Antarctica. Something about A's maybe... I've slept on a streetcorner in Rome using only newspaper to keep me warm (yes, there's a long story behind that)... I've had an octopus suck my arm 50 feet under the Aegean Sea in Greece, and I've stolen pieces of the Pyramids in Egypt. I like to do things that others dream. What I dream, I don't know yet. Life is ironic like that.Oh yeah, and I'm also a retail manager - sadly enough, photography hasn't paid as well as I'd have liked - especially with this economy, so 'reality' had to take effect. Sucks getting older, huh?Ok. 'Nuff about me.
