Too weird to live, Too rare to die.

About Me

Who am I? How can I answer that when I'm still discovering new things about myself everyday. My life is a journey. Sometimes I go left, sometimes I go right, sometimes I go wrong. I'll tell you what I do know. I'm a free spirit with ambitions to make the most of every day given to me. To take in every opportunity to experience something new, accept a new challenge, or meet new people. A bit eccentric, but both feet planted firmly on the ground.

My Interests

Aspiring film maker, Musician and engineer, Computer geek. I love good conversation with true content. I like Hockey and Football and love a good concert. My taste in music leans to the heavier side, but there really isn't a genre I don't like. (exception may be folk music). I like fishing and golf. (Yeah, so what?). But mostly I enjoy the company of cool people in this journey to share in the experience of life.

I'd like to meet:

People with a passion for fun and creativity. Dreamers who haven't given up on thier dreams. Anyone who knows the boundries but crosses them anyway. Individuals who bring out the best in me.

Music:

This is ever changing, but like I said, it leans to the heavier side. I guess the bands that spend the most time in rotation on my disc player are as follows; System of a Down, Avenged Sevenfold, Coheed & Cambria, HIM, Rammstein, Metallica, Korn, Disturbed, Anthrax (how's that for old school?), and everything Alex and I record. But, like I said, I pretty much like everything. Sometimes I'm known to jam a mix disc of old 80's music. Go ahead and laugh, I do too.

Movies:

Well, I'm a film maker... so this could go on forever. But I'll keep it short. Films to me are a form of escapism, so movies that deal in "truth" or "real life events", or "Hit close to home" really kinda... well, suck to me. I like movies that take me places I've never been and deal with issues that I don't in my day to day routines.

Television:

T.V. pretty much sucks these days to me. Everything's a reality show. So IF I watch the tube, it's usually something educational (cephlopods and what not), sporting events (Broncos and Red Wings), cartoons (Family Guy, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Boondocks), cagefighting, music videos, or CSI.

Books:

Pure fantasy, like J.R.R. Tolkien and J.K. Rowling. And a bunch of political books. (Just don't ask what side I'm on... I'd rather not be judged by my political opinions since I'm no politician.)

Heroes:

Hero? Like Superman? To me a hero is a sandwich. A generic term. You could bring me a sandwich, and I could say "You're my hero for bringing me this sandwich". but we've cheapened the word. Assuming it still has value, my heroes (people I admire for whatever reason), are my father, firefighters, and our soldiers.

Human to human

As I sit here staring into a seemingly blank screen, I wonder how I got here. Not literally of course, by way of birth or by transport. I mean simply, what made me who I am today? There are many peopl...

New Headstring Project

I never understood the Rave scene. And even after having spent last Saturday night at Rave, I still don't fully understand it. It's just a party, right? A big expensive party. Well, initially that's w...
