Singer/songwriter Jason Riggs was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. Jason spent six years of his precious youth working a soul sucking day job at a semiconductor plant, whilst playing guitar at night in the almost thriving Duke City music scene. He bided his time, waiting for a big break. That break came when he was laid off from said soul suckin’ day job. With severance check in hand, our hero started his own record label BINGO Recordings, recorded his debut album “These Wheels”, threw his guitar in the back of his pickup truck, and hit the road. He played coffeehouses from Colorado to Connecticut, winning over new fans one ear at a time. And he's had fun doing it.
So much so, that he put a second album out. This one’s called “Pawn Shop Special,” and it takes on the subjects of love, heartache, death, redemption, lost dreams, and hating one's job.

Influences: "Picture a 57 Chevy with Springsteen driving, Steve Earle riding shotgun, and Lucinda Williams crashed in the back, passing Tom Petty thumbing for a ride. All on their way to Johnny Cash show."
Sounds Like: "New Mexico expat Jason Riggs is a real-deal folk singer with grimy fingers in Americana and rock, spinning haunting yarns like “Stronger than Death” as only a former semiconductor plant worker could."- Bill Frost, Music Picks, Salt Lake Weekly

"These Wheels...unflinchingly rocks with heart, soul, and guts galore." - Guitar Nine Records

"His performance is heartfelt and passionate, and he's got the knack for the anthemic hook." - Albuquerque Journal

"...ridden with ballads and heartbroken anthems, written back in the days when long drives south eased the pain." - Laramie Daily Boomerang

"Simplicity permeates this song (Everyday Like This) all though it beguiles. Every sound has its place from the motor style guitar and hand thump to the crisp shaker and pedal steel guitar soaring above the vocals that have a satisfied attitude about them. Remember the early recordings of Elvis and Harry Belifonte on RCA...The line, "Everybody's dancing like the songs about to end" is fabulous imagery in the bridge... Having the pedal steel guitar echo the "la da da da da" at the end reinforces the "this is going to last forever" feeling...-Peter Burg, Pueblosongwriters.com, Review of the song "Everyday Like This"

Record Label: Bingo Recordings
