Metal is a non conformist music that defies the boundaries of media accepted trends. In reality: Metal is truly a music that is next to impossible to define, it has it's own book of rules and it's own laws to govern by. It's forever changing and evolving into something new and it's culture and art form are as much visual as it is audible - album covers / stage shows / lyrical expression are almost as important to the presentation as the music it's self. Metals conception can be linked directly to the unholy trio (Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple) but the band that took the term and ran with it and helped form it into the monster it is today can be credited to Judas Priest.
Since then Metal has become a national movement, a way of life, a religion and for some their very existence. Metal has established itself as a legitimate art and has since shown dominance throughout the world. There are endless styles and forms of Metal for all to find something they can love and appreciate. Metal was, is and will forever be the best form of music there is. It leaves no emotion untouched and no topic untold.
