PELICAN WEST

Pelican West is a downtempo / lounge musical project formed by French composers and producers Gabriel Masurel, Johannes Régnier and Yannis Kamarinos, and by Hungarian female singer Dalma Berger.Gabriel Masurel has been producing electronic music since the beginning of 90’s. His first album was released in 1999, published on the defunt English label Flying Rhino. He played his album in the USA, in Japan and in Europe. At one of these parties, near the Danube, he heard Dalma Berger who chilled the assembly out with a 3-hours-non-stop improvisation. On DJ’s sounds, she was able to do an oriental mélopé or a weird “Like a Virgin” Madonna’s version. The magic was here and they decide to work together.Gabriel gathered his friends Johannes Régnier and Yannis Kamarinos around him with the idea to produce downtempo tracks that could perfectly fit to the unique voice of Dalma Berger.
