Reality. (New Song Has Been Posted!)

Reality:
1. the state or quality of being real.
2. resemblance to what is real.
3. a real thing or fact.
You might know me as Matt Peters but when you see me in my true element, behind a mic and reciting lyrics, you call me "Reality." Raised in Silverdale, Washington and coming straight outta the Northwest! I grew up in a household where the only thing you heard out of my parents stereo was oldies. My family listened to artists and groups such as The Beattles, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, The Beach Boys, and many more. As a teenager I was exposed to many different types and unique genres of music, and eventually acquired a taste for Hip Hop. The way MC's flowed and the way producers sampled other artists creations in their own instrumentals truely fascinated me. In 9th grade my friend and I started composing lyrics and writing songs of our own while being inspired by our favorite rapper The Game. We then started recording on a simple program called Garage Band which you can find on any Macintosh Computer (Thanks to Jake Day). Never did I expect to get serious about being an MC but what I thought was a hobby shortly turned into a passion. Ever since I picked up a pen I haven't been able to put it down. I never really had a lot of confidence and didn't really believe I had potential until I released my song titled "Want You Back," the responses I got were out of this world! People really started opening their ears and paying attention to what I had to say. Nas stated "Hip Hop Is dead." To me it's just gave birth to a whole new generation of talented individuals. I am not apart of the people who lie in their lyrics and prove to be someone they are not, I speak the truth no matter what, and that is why I chose the name I have today. When I am not in the booth I am a student attending North Kitsap High School as a Senior and will be graduating this June. I got my future planned out and hopefully one day I will accomplish this dream I have.
