Cactus formed in Roma at the end of 2000. After a couple of demos (Nervous and Cactus on Mars) , Cactus releases the 7 Music For Haters Vol.5 (Haterecords 2004, vinyl ltd. edition). Maximumrocknroll says: "Great stuff here - Mid period Fall-sounding art-punk from Italy. Three songs of distorto-damaged guitar over repetitive rhythms, punctuated by distracted, detached vocals. You'll dig it."
In 2006, Haterecords is proud to release CACTUS first album: 12 songs of intense garage-punk-wave, available on CD, black vinyl and ltd ed. transparent green vinyl. Daniela Motorama plays guitar and sing on five tracks. The CD includes 3 bonus tracks from the earlier 7" Music For Haters Vol.5. "Apparently this is the Pope's favorite new band as well as mine" (SD - Maximumrocknroll). View the Blog Box above for the reviews.

CACTUS played with Lost Sounds, Fuzztones, The Kills, Yumi Yumi, Sons of Cyrus, Motorama, Heavy Trash (Jon Spencer + Matt Verta-Ray), Metal Urban, Human Eye, Lorena and the Bobbits, TV Buddhas...
