My Interests

reading, movies, travel (been to something like 12 or 13 countries and 23 or 24 states although I still need to head west within these United States), just hanging out with friends, baseball (especially the Boston Red Sox), football after the World Series is over, going to a good concert in any number of genres

I'd like to meet:

people with epidermis. Sure I may be leaving out all you non skin people, but it's just a burden I will have to bear.

Music:

stuff I'm into at this point includes: U2, Elvis Costello, Frank Sinatra, John Coltrane, The Clash, Interpol, Al Green, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Echo and the Bunnymen, Jesus and Mary Chain, The Killlers, She Wants Revenge, the latest System of a down, The Cure, The Cult, Living Things, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Elefant, Pixies, Dresden Dolls, Violent Femmes, Athlete, Anberlin, Jimmy Eat World

Movies:

Shawshank Redemption, Back to the Future, The Godfather, The Third Man, The Manchurian Candidtate (the original), Citizen Kane, Double Indemnity, Cinema Paradiso, Casablance, The Usual Suspects, North by Northwest, It's a Wonderful Life, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, LA Confidential, Stalag 17, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Sting, The Apartment, Reservoir Dogs, The Princess Bride, Defending Your Life, Charade, Arsenic and Old Lace

Television:

I love my 100 hour DVR. I can blast through a lot of the shows I watch now in a short amount of time. I usually have it filled up at least halfway with movies and such although I usually don't like to have less than 30 hours available. That just means there is a lot of stuff I haven't watched yet.

Books:

currently reading several books: a biography of Neil Armstrong by a professor here at Auburn, Summerland by Michael Chabon, an older book by Bob Schieffer, Faulkner's If I forget thee, Jerusalem (AKA The Wild Palms) and McCullough's 1776. Hope to finish some of these soon and move on to some more stuff in my stack that I have not touched yet.
