When the world of electronic music demands a new taste and direction, Papi Axel comes with a unique blend of sound and moving melody parts. Papi Axel (or as fans would nickname PPXL) are Itay Amouyal (from Jerusalem) and Amir Gelman (from Qiryat-Yam) - two producers originated from Israel. They've began their work together in early 2006 and never stopped since then. It was already in their first track "Scale a Tone" that their melodic and grooving talent was discovered. Not too long after, they've collaborated with the known pop singer Sonja Myers (from the Untied States) and came out with the spicy "You Move Me" remix. After that, a feel for electro flavor led them to come up with "Lost in Rio", one of their most loved tracks 'till now. It comes with its definite electro feel and the addictive Brazilian melody. Later on, they teamed with the singer Hadar Alfasi (from Jerusalem). Together they came up with their latest track "Ice Crime", an unmatched track with a clear sound of electro flow and clubby rhythm.
You got lots of electro influences in your music, will you continue making this style of music?
Itay: "Although we enjoyed making electro tracks like "Lost in Rio" and "Ice Crime", our current direction nowadays is more to the house style and flow."
Amir: "I guess we just found ourselves a bit too cornered with this style and we feel that with the house genre we will be able to express our music much better and we both are hoping that people will like it."
What can we expect from Papi Axel in the near future?
Itay: "We got a bunch of record deals in progress and we hope things will come out as we want it to"
Amir: "Yeah, we got some new house tracks we hope will get released as planned."
Message from Papi Axel: "Stay tuned for updates and releases!"
